ALBUQUERQUE – Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) is inviting the public to help select the department’s Top 10 Photos of 2025. The finalists have been narrowed down to 12 images captured by AFR personnel. The vote for the Top 10 will be open to the public and participants can vote online through December 21st.
This 3rd annual contest highlights the medium of photography and showcases the work AFR crews perform each day across the city. The contest is not intended to celebrate tragedy or minimize the emergencies residents experience, but rather to acknowledge the professionalism, skill, and dedication of AFR’s first responders. Votes will be tallied and the Top Ten Photos will be counted down starting December 22nd.
Voting Form:
Voting closes: December 21, 2025
Past top photos include the Atkore Fire (2023) and the F-35 crash response (2024) — both widely covered by national media.
