Albuquerque Convention Center’s Kiva Auditorium Will Serve as Venue for Upcoming High School and University Graduation Ceremonies

(Albuquerque, N.M.) — The Albuquerque Convention Center, New Mexico’s largest publicly owned meeting and exhibit space, will serve as the venue for a number of graduation ceremonies this Spring in its Kiva Auditorium.

The Convention Center has long hosted and supported local commencement ceremonies for many schools around the city. This graduation season, several universities and high schools will have their convocations in the Kiva Auditorium, including:

• The University of New Mexico’s (UNM) School of Medicine MD/PhD Program
• UNM’s School of Medicine Health Professions Program
• UNM’s College of Pharmacy
• East Mountain High School
• The Native American Community Academy
• ACE Leadership High School
• Siembra Leadership High School
• Albuquerque Charter Academy

Located on the upper level of the West Complex, the Kiva Auditorium has a proscenium stage and half-round seating for 2,300 people. The Guest Services and Security Department of the Convention Center at large maintains 24-hour coverage of perimeter areas, internal corridors and the life safety alarm system. Parking for the Convention Center is available at the city-operated Convention Center Garage located on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Ave. and Broadway Blvd. or at the city-operated Civic Plaza Garage on Marquette and 3rd Street. Event parking in these garages ranges from $10 – $20 per vehicle without in and out privileges. The price of parking may vary based on ongoing events. There are also numerous other public parking garages and lots available throughout the area surrounding the Center.
