Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta releases the fan-favorite collectible item, the 2024 Official Serigraph Poster

Local Artist Jake Gushard Captures Balloon Fiesta’s Balloon Glow

Albuquerque, NM – The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta has released the fan-favorite collectible item, the Official Balloon Fiesta Serigraph Poster. This year’s edition was designed by Jake Gushard, a local Albuquerque, New Mexico Artist. Gushard’s artwork for the 2024 Balloon Fiesta poster depicts a scene of a fantasy Balloon Glow where balloons light up the sky along with the stars. Gushard continued the tradition of placing a hidden roadrunner in the poster along with notable landmarks such as the Sandia Mountains and Albuquerque’s outstanding sunset in the background.

Gushard has spent most of his young life in Albuquerque, graduating from La Cueva High School and just this spring from Purdue University with a degree in Cybersecurity. Gushard got his start creating art as a young kid just messing around in school by drawing and eventually continued to digital art, creating a number of logos and other designs for himself.

Gushard is excited to have been chosen as this year’s poster artist, but for his dad, it was extra special, as he encouraged him to submit a design, and Gushard was notified of his selection on his dad’s birthday.

The collectible item is available in hand-signed and non-signed versions for purchase at Balloon Fiesta’s Gift Shop, located at 4401 Alameda Blvd NE, Albuquerque NM, and online at www.balloonfiestastuff.com. Guests will be able to purchase this art at Official Balloon Fiesta Merchandise Tents during the event as well.
