Brotherhood LOL (Love Out Loud) Redefines Male Friendship and Connection in Albuquerque

Fourth annual Brotherhood Social brings together community leaders to promote personal growth and lifelong connection on Oct. 24.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Brotherhood LOL (Love Out Loud), a community-led, all-volunteer organization, is pleased to announce its fourth annual Brotherhood Social from 10 a.m.– 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Main Public Library, 501 Copper Ave NW, in Downtown Albuquerque.

Designed to challenge traditional norms around male isolation and vulnerability, the event provides a powerful stage for attendees to share, listen, and explore the transformative power of authentic male friendships.

Founded in 2023 by local business owner and community leader Michael M. Silva, Jr., Brotherhood LOL creates opportunities for men to build meaningful friendships, support one another, and grow into the best versions of themselves through connection and mentorship.

Brotherhood Social 2026 is a family-friendly gathering featuring diverse perspectives on mental wellness, emotional intelligence, and community-building. The event welcomes everyone in Albuquerque and the surrounding community, regardless of gender identity.

The event features four compelling speakers sharing stories of resilience, advocacy, and human connection:

Deon K. Watson

Topic: “A broken crayon still colors, the same.”

Watson is an economic coordinator with the State of New Mexico and brings a global perspective to leadership and personal growth. His story serves as a powerful reminder that where we begin does not define how far we can go, and true leadership is about using our experiences to uplift others.

Chad Morris

Topic: “Recurring Dream”

Father, firefighter, entrepreneur, mentor, and lifelong student, Morris has worn many hats while remaining steadfast in his commitment to family, community, and service. Through his presentation, he explores what it means to keep growing, showing up, and building a better life for ourselves and those we love.

Tom Garrity

Topic: “Standing in the Gap: What the Middle Taught Me About Friendship, Faith, and Community”

As President of The Garrity Group Public Relations, Garrity is a respected communications executive and community leader who has built his career on the foundation of strong relationships, strategic communication, and civic engagement. His message emphasizes that genuine human connections stand at the heart of effective leadership, successful organizations, and thriving communities.

Eric Carter-Landin

Topic: “I never trusted men until I discovered Brotherhood”

Founder and President of Angels’ Voices Silenced No More and Co-Founder/CEO of AdvocacyCon, Carter-Landin is a passionate advocate dedicated to amplifying unheard voices, raising awareness, and guiding families affected by tragedy toward community support. He will share his powerful journey of discovering trust, courage, and true brotherhood.

Tickets for the event are $5 and available at holdmyticket.com. For more information, visit brotherhoodlol.com.

Brotherhood LOL extends sincere gratitude to the sponsors making this gathering possible, including Charles Stephen and Company, Inc., Black Men Flower Project, Unity Design and Fidel Consulting Group.
