Invenergy Donates Smartboard to Strengthen & Support Clayton Police Department

On April 19th, Invenergy will present the Clayton Police with a new Promethean ActivPanel 9 Pro smartboard for the department. Invenergy is a leading developer, owner and operator of clean energy solutions that is actively developing new projects in Union County and the broader Northeastern New Mexico region.

Clayton Police Chief Al Nieves identified some of the department’s most pressing needs as it undergoes renovations, including a technology upgrade to support the department’s training efforts, internal and community presentations, video screen sharing/conferencing and more.

“On behalf of the Clayton Police Department I would like to thank Invenergy for their generous donation to our police department. Their donation of a touchscreen smartboard will assist us in conducting much needed training events at our substation,” said Police Chief Al Nieves. “Invenergy has demonstrated their commitment to the Town of Clayton and our police department, and we are proud to partner with them as they help us improve quality of service to all of the residents of Clayton.”

“We prioritize understanding and building relationships with the communities where our projects are located and have enjoyed getting to know the leaders and community members in and around Clayton over the past few years,” said Megan Glancey, Manager of Renewable Development at Invenergy. “We recognize the hard work and dedication of the local first responders and, with safety and community partnership as core values at Invenergy, we are honored to be able to support the department with some of the tools they need to more effectively train, communicate and educate.”

Representative Jack “Jackey” Chatfield is also a supporter of the local community and its first responders. Representative Chatfield said, “It is great to see Invenergy’s investment not just in clean energy in Union County, but in support of the Clayton Police Department, their valuable safety programs and their critical emergency response efforts.” Rep. Chatfield is expected to attend the donation event.

In addition to backing community events like the upcoming Clayton Golf Pickup Party, Invenergy is committed to supporting local first responders, ensuring they have the necessary to train, plan for and tend to any situation that may arise.
