Love NM to Host Free One-Day Outreach to Serve New Mexico Families in Need

Albuquerque, NM — In response to widespread need across New Mexico, Love NM will host Love Day from 9 am to 5 pm at Tingley Coliseum in conjunction with OneABQ and several local churches. This free event will connect individuals and families with a variety of goods, services, and targeted resources focused on health, wellness, and child development. Community members may register to attend at lovenm.org/#events.

Love Day is an outreach event designed to support New Mexicans with dignity by providing essential services and resources in a joyful and compassionate setting. In New Mexico, most public school students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, reflecting the deep economic challenges many households face year-round.

Inspired by the success of the annual Thanksgiving Pickup Party hosted by Calvary Church, Love Day is an outreach effort designed to address household challenges during the summer months, when many children lose consistent access to free meals and families and individuals struggle to make ends meet.

Those who attend Love Day will have access to free goods and services, including:

• Haircuts
• Groceries (must be registered)
• Health and dental screenings
• Brand-new shoes for children
• Professional family photos
• Infant and child resources, and more

“Our vision for Love Day is to meet people right where they are and provide practical resources,” said Love NM director Mat Pirolo. “It’s such an honor to get to show love to our community as we serve them in Jesus’ name.” 

Love Day attendees and the wider community are also invited to return to the Expo New Mexico’s Fairgrounds the following day, Saturday, June 28, for Freedom Celebration—a free, festival-style event celebrating our freedoms as Americans and the ultimate freedom found in Jesus Christ.
